Gainesville Youth Group

We have several youth activities to deepen and strengthen young people's faith.  Our activities are about connecting young people with Jesus, not just entertaining them.

The Bible teaches us that Jesus 'grew in wisdom and stature; in favor with God and man.' (Luke 2:52).  We seek to help each and every child which comes into our program to have a faith grounded in Jesus and His Word.

Bible Bowl

Youth Devotionals
It is so important to impart the Bible to our children.  One of the ways that we help doing just that is with the Bible Bowl. We attend a monthly Bible Bowl which studies a certain passage of scripture where the youth later take a test over.  Various congregations share in hosting this event each month. We have a monthly youth devotional on the 1st Sunday night of each month.  We pray, sing, and fellowship together.  Relationships are strengthened and lives are changed by the Word of God!

 

Faith Summit

Lads to Leaders/Leaderettes

 
We have a yearly Faith Summit at Lake Charles State Park.  This camp-out provides opportunities for teaching, fellowship, singing, prayer and a whole lot of fun!

To emphasize the importance of growing up in the "training and admonition of the Lord," the church of Christ at Gainesville offers Lads to Leaders/Leaderettes for our youth.
