Nigeria for Christ in 2009!As you know, Dorris Taylor has been traveling to Nigeria for several years working with native Nigerian preachers. While you may have wanted to go in the past, you may be curious about the work, or you are excited about the work, this is your opportunity to serve the Lord in a receptive mission field. Dorris usually stays about 6-8 weeks in Nigeria when she goes. While there, she will spend about two weeks working with individual preachers. After working with all the preachers that she does, her 6-8 weeks are full of travel, teaching one-on-one Bible studies, teaching ladies seminars, and working with the preachers. This year, she will be taking several co-workers in the Gospel. Doris, Chad, and a group of others will be traveling to Nigeria. Once we get into Nigeria, we will meet at the preacher school that we are helping to build in Abakaliki. From there, we will split up to go to work with native preachers for two weeks. In groups of 2-3, Americans will have a chance to be able to see the work first hand, help native preachers in evangelism, be encouraged by the work and response in Nigeria, and complete 8 weeks of work in 2 short weeks. We want you to be a part of this group working in Nigeria for 2-3 weeks. We will leave on July 13, 2008 and be in Nigeria for about 2-3 weeks. We will return on July 28. The cost for this trip is about $5,000 per person. This covers airfare, food, and other expenses that will come up. PLEASE NOTE: there is a May 1st deadline for buying tickets. You will have had to raise at least $2,000 by that date. We are going to buy the tickets early to get a discount. While it is your responsibility to raise your own support for this trip, we will help you. We will provide an insert letter for you when you raise money detailing the work, trip, and funds. When raising funds, you may have the funds sent to the church at the address below or you can channel the funds through your congregation.
